Friday, October 2nd, 2026

Progress continues on the underground utilities for our new church. The new water line has successfully passed its pressure test, and chlorine is being placed in the line today as part of the required testing process. Testing will continue next week, and we hope to tie the new line into the school either next Thursday or the following Monday. Once that connection is completed, the new water line will be fully in place.

Next week, McFry Excavating is also scheduled to begin excavation for the new electrical service.

We continue to be grateful for the progress being made and ask for your continued prayers as construction moves forward.

Saturday, September 12th, 2026 - Holy Family Church Groundbreaking Ceremony

Our groundbreaking ceremony marked a joyful and historic moment for Holy Family Parish. We are especially grateful to Archbishop Rozanski and our Episcopal Vicar, Fr. Mike Lydon, for their presence and continued support of our parish and this important project. Now, the work has visibly begun! Equipment is on site, the ground is being moved, and the place where our new church will stand is beginning to take shape. This progress is the result of years of prayer, careful planning, generous sacrifices, and the dedicated work of many parishioners and professionals. There will be challenges and important decisions ahead, but this first movement of earth reminds us that our plans are becoming a reality. Thank you to everyone who has supported this project through prayer, service, and financial generosity. Together, we are building more than a church building. We are preparing a spiritual home where generations will encounter Jesus Christ, celebrate the sacraments, and grow together as one family of faith. A Special Recognition for Holy Family Parish

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Bill Moritz and State Representative Phil Amato for the special honors presented to Holy Family Parish during our groundbreaking celebration.

Mayor Moritz issued an official proclamation declaring September 12, 2026, Holy Family Parish Groundbreaking Day in the City of Arnold. Representative Amato presented a resolution from the Missouri House of Representatives recognizing our parish’s rich history, the union of Immaculate Conception and St. David parishes, and this important step toward building our new spiritual home.

These recognitions honor not only a building project, but also the generations of parishioners whose faith, sacrifice, and service have helped shape our parish and the wider Arnold community. We are deeply grateful to Mayor Moritz and Representative Amato for celebrating this historic moment with us and for their continuing support of Holy Family Parish.

We are pleased to share the discovery of a small time capsule behind the cornerstone of St. David Church.

On January 28th, 2026, the cornerstone of Saint David Church was carefully removed. Behind the stone, a simple foil-wrapped envelope was found, containing a single typed page. Upon further examination, this page was revealed to be Saint David Parish’s very first bulletin.

The bulletin was typed by Rev. John Ronquest, the first pastor assigned to Saint David Parish, and offers a glimpse into the earliest days of the parish community.

Immaculate Conception Church Time Capsule

Before the demolition of the Immaculate Conception Church began, a time capsule was discovered under the cornerstone on August 18th, 2025. We are truly blessed that the pastors and parishioners from 130 years ago had the foresight to leave a message for future generations. Inside the capsule were three full newspapers—two printed in German—along with a collection of coins. After the St. Louis Archdiocese Archives Department finished recording and preserving these items, we are finally able to share them with the parish.
